If you're one of those people who have gotten really good at drawing Knuckles wrapped around Rouge or vice versa and appreciate the pageviews you're getting out of it, then go right ahead, I'm not trying to start a fight here.

I personally just don't see the attraction between these two when it's painfully obvious to me that Knuckles is just meeting Rouge's playfully false advances with confusion. He's been stuck alone on an island for who knows how long, and for all that time he's never seen any girls. As a result he treats both genders equally (ex. "Get the @#$% off my island and leave my @#$%ing emeralds alone!!") Along comes Rouge, who not only is a sassy type with feminine wiles, but also loves shiny things like it's nobody's business. She goes after Knuckles' gems and ends up getting the usual response; as per some form of revenge, she harasses him as often as she can on how ignorant he is on the female persuasion, while at the same time still trying to filch his stones and generally pissing him off even more.

I honestly don't see any form of romantic bond between these two. *shrug*
